NORMAN IBARRA / Designer & Art Director
I’m a New York based designer with a background in branding and marketing for the luxury real estate industry. My visual work relies on brevity, thoughtfulness, and an in-depth study of the topic on hand.
From 2013 through 2019, I worked as a designer and Art Director at Pandiscio Co., where I developed branding for residential projects such as 220 Central Park South in New York, Monad Terrace in Miami, and Norra Tornen in Stockholm, among many others. Currently, I’m a Design Director at King & Partners.
Aside from my day-to-day duties, you can find me working on various projects of my own that are mundane in nature but divine in meaning. In 2012, I created Metro Deck, a set of playing cards printed on discarded MetroCards, which was featured in over 20 design blogs and selected as part of MoMA Design Store’s Destination: NYC Collection for that year. In 2017, I founded Libre y Soberano, an embroidered patch brand inspired by Mexico’s natural and cultural heritage.
I have worked as a jewelry salesman, parking attendant, stock-room associate, busboy, banquet server, room service server, prep cook, graphic designer, and art director. From these many trades I have learned to always keep a sharp knife in the kitchen, to always lift with your legs, to juggle multiple projects, to take rudeness in stride, to pay attention to the little details while never losing sight of the big picture, and most importantly, to always say please and thank you.
