Sotol, a spirit made from the Dasylirion plant, more commonly known as the desert spoon, is native to the arid deserts and rocky slopes of Chihuahua, Mexico. The Indigenous people of the Chihuahuan Desert, such as the Jumano, Apache, and Mogollon, have made this traditional drink for centuries.

This project was of special interest to me due to the extensive research involved, with the added bonus of learning more about Mexican culture. The following images are just a tiny fraction of the work I produced.
